Bee on the Brow Policies

Reservation, Cancellation, Rescheduling, & Refund Policies
Deposits:
Bee on the Brow is a small business/property and takes your room(s) off the market once you book it and does not double book reservations. Credit cards are required to hold a room. We accept American Express, VISA, and MasterCard in order to hold your reservation. No reservations will be held on declined credit cards. Payment must be made on arrival for all balances.

Cancellations: Reservations may be canceled or rescheduled 14 days prior to your check-in date. If less than 14 days notice is given for cancellation/reschedule a $75.00 cancellation fee will be applied per room. Cancellations made with less than a 2-day notice to the day of arrival cannot be rescheduled and will be charged for the full stay and nights. No refunds or rebates will be offered for reservations made less than 7 days prior to check-in. Special promotional rates which have their own prepayment, cancellation or refund policies override this payment/cancellation policy.

Rates: All rates are based on double occupancy and include a full breakfast each morning of your stay. Complimentary snacks and beverages are always available in the refreshment area. Rates are subject to Alabama State sales tax of 9% and 7% lodging tax per room night.

Bee on the Brow is intended to be a place to retreat, reconnect and renew. Some rooms have the capacity to accommodate more than two people and children of responsible parents are welcome for entire B&B property rentals or for single nights when dropping off or picking up campers. There is a $20 charge per additional person (including children), per room night.

Guests requesting reservations for the entire B&B for a wedding or large group should call or email Bee on the Brow directly before using the online reservation system. Discounts and special cancellation conditions apply. When reserving the entire B&B no refunds or rebates will be made for reservations canceled, rescheduled or changed after the day of booking.

Specials: Only one special, discount or coupon can be used per reservation. Specials, discounts and coupons cannot be used when booking through a third-party booking site or travel agent.

Weekends and Holidays: Subject to minimum stay requirements. Please check your dates on our website.

Check-In / Check-Out
Check-In: 3:00pm – 7:00pm
Check-Out: 11:00am
We’re flexible with advance notice and are happy to try to accommodate alternate times and after-hours check-in. Early check-in and late checkout are subject to occupancy of Bee on the Brow.

Smoking Policy: We are a non-smoking B&B. Cigarettes, cigars and vaping are not permitted in the guest rooms, common areas or on the grounds. Please respect other guests in regards to this aspect of our B&B. Thank you.

Candles: Candles/open flames are not permissible in any guest rooms or on the upper or lower deck. Candle wax found on furnishings, floors, mantles, etc. upon departure will result in the guest being charged a minimum of $100 for extra cleaning.

Diet Restrictions: Please notify us in advance if you require special food preparation due to medical reasons. We are also happy to provide vegetarian or gluten-free breakfast upon request.

Alcohol: We want our guests to be relaxed, and sometimes partaking in wine, beer or your “spirit of choice” is a part of the experience. Any person partaking of alcohol on the property must be 21 years of age in the state of Alabama and is responsible for their own actions. Guests may bring their own alcohol as long as they follow the rules of the county of DeKalb and state of Alabama.

Pets: Some of our guests are allergic to animals and therefore we cannot accept pets at Bee on the Brow.

Wild Life: Our accommodations are located in the mountains so guests may encounter deer, bears, bobcats, raccoons, possum, groundhogs, mice, snakes, and insects such as bees, wasps, ticks, ants, etc.

Emergencies and Inconvenience Policies
Emergencies: Guests should call 911 for any personal emergency.

Maintenance: Guests should notify the Hosts of any maintenance problems and we will try to the best of our ability to resolve the problem quickly and with minimal inconvenience to guests.

Inconveniences: No refunds, rebates, or compensation will be given if something in your room is not working to your satisfaction, for critters, acts of God, inclement weather, road maintenance, power shortages, or water shortages – trip insurance is advisable.

Damages
Guest should contact Hosts upon arrival if any damages or defects are noticed. Guests authorize Bee on the Brow to charge their credit card for any damages, repairs, or extra cleaning sustained during their stay. Bee on the Brow may charge a minimum of $250 for odor elimination if smoke is evident in any room.

Accessibility
The Property - Bee on the Brow is an “off the beaten path” property and our mountainous locale is peaceful and appealing with natural terrain in the outdoor areas, which can be challenging for persons with mobility issues and other disabilities. Please call Bee on the Brow for information about the accessibility of the property and the area where the B&B is located.
