Friday Means Pie Day in 2026!!

At the beginning of this month we began a yearlong journey in honor of The United States' semiquincentennial. For fifty weeks we are baking one pie a week, showcasing the flavors, stories and traditions of each of the fifty states.Our excitement for this project has been amplified by friends, B&B guests and community members in these first few weeks as we have put a spotlight on Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Georgia. Guests at BEE enjoy pie on Friday afternoons and all of us are learning new and interesting things as we celebrate America 250!

This last week of January also has brought cold temperatures to Lookout Mountain and our friends just a mile down the road at Cloudmont Ski Resort are open for their 54th season! The B&B offers winter views, cozy spaces and seasonal flavors this month for adventurers in North Alabama. And although things slow down in Mentone this time of year; as we look down the calendar, things get busy. Daffodils are already beginning to poke through the earth reminding us that springtime will soon arrive with hiking and other outdoor activities drawing people to our special corner of Alabama
